JAMES DEAN painted realistic watercolors of the American scene - from the unchanging landscape of the New England coast, to the space launches in Florida, to the Shuttle landings in the California desert, to the churches of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He was the former Curator of Art at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air & Space Museum and the founding Director, Fine Arts Program, NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC.
